En una reciente operación, la Policía de la Ciudad detuvo a un individuo de 47 años en el Barrio Zavaleta, conocido como “mantero neumático”, quien estaba ofreciendo neumáticos y llantas usadas en una plazoleta de la avenida Iriarte al 3800. El arresto fue llevado a cabo por la División Investigaciones de Armas de Fuego y Explosivos Ilícitos, adscrita al Departamento Contra el Crimen Organizado de la Policía de la Ciudad, durante tareas de prevención.
La intervención se produjo cuando los agentes se percataron de la actividad sospechosa del individuo, quien exhibía una variedad de neumáticos y llantas de distintos rodados. Al acercarse para identificar al vendedor, descubrieron que una de las llantas, perteneciente a un Honda Civic, tenía un pedido de secuestro vigente por robo automotor, datando el hecho en mayo de 2022 en la provincia de Buenos Aires.
El detenido, que tenía en su poder cinco ruedas completas de diversas medidas, seis llantas (dos de cuatriciclos, una de moto y dos de autos) y 21 cubiertas usadas, fue trasladado conforme a la disposición del Juzgado Nacional en lo Criminal y Correccional Número 50, a cargo del doctor Carlos Gruñar, Secretaría 51 de la doctora Estela Fernández. Este tribunal ordenó tanto la detención del individuo como el secuestro de todos los elementos expuestos.
En el desarrollo de la operación, se contó con la colaboración de la División Barrio Zavaleta y la División Sustracción de Automotores. Este caso ejemplifica la efectiva labor de las fuerzas de seguridad en la detección y detención de individuos involucrados en la comercialización ilícita de elementos robados.
