La Boca, uno de los barrios más cargados de historia en la Ciudad cumple 149 años, y el Gobierno porteño lo celebrará con una variada programación gratuita en la Usina del Arte.

Desde el viernes 23 y hasta el domingo 25 de agosto, de 12 a 21 horas, habrá propuestas para todos los gustos que incluyen visitas guiadas para reconocer el patrimonio arquitectónico, un homenaje a los históricos Bomberos Voluntarios del barrio, la inauguración de la muestra “Retratos de La Boca” de Marcos López, un mercado para disfrutar de comidas típicas y sabores locales, talleres y charlas sobre arte, gastronomía y arquitectura.

La Boca tiene una historia propia, que surge con los inmigrantes genoveses que se instalaron en la zona buscando trabajo, una estética particular -en la que se destacan las casas de chapa de colores, pintadas así porque se utilizaba la pintura que sobraba de pintar los barcos en el puerto- y un gran valor artístico, por ser la sede de numerosos atelieres.

Entre las actividades preparadas, también habrá música de distintos géneros: el viernes por la noche se presentarán las murgas Los Amantes de La Boca y Bombo Platillo Elegancia, y el Quinteto Negro La Boca. El sábado se podrá disfrutar un Tributo a María Elena Walsh por los uruguayos Gabriela Rodríguez, Fernando Rodríguez y Javier Cabrera; y también estarán las murgas Los príncipes de La Boca, Los pibes de Don Bosco y Los Gardelitos de la Solís; y habrá un set de cumbia para bailar a cargo de La Romy DJ. Y el domingo será el turno de las murgas Los Linyeras de La Boca, S.O.S Infantil y Casa San; el rapero MC Trueno, y el grupo de teatro Catalinas Sur con su espectáculo “Venimos de muy lejos”.

Durante el sábado y el domingo habrá mercado de productos y habrá food trucks con distintos platos para probar, en los que participarán comercios tradicionales del barrio. El Domingo, uno de los grandes protagonistas será el guiso, un plato lleno de historia.

Serán tres días de fiesta para que todos los vecinos del barrio se acerquen a compartir con los artistas, y los que vienen de más lejos se animen a descubrir la cultura de este barrio en el cuál la Usina es un punto de encuentro.
