El miércoles 11 de septiembre de 2019 de 9 a 13 hs, se presentó el Proyecto de Ley de ACV de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, en la Legislatura porteña.

Esta Ley tiene por objeto garantizar el acceso de la población a la prevención, diagnóstico y tratamiento del Accidente Cerebro Vascular (ACV).

De 10 a 11:30hs se llevaron a cabo diferentes disertaciones: Epidemiologia y costos (Dra. Zurrú), Consenso intersocietario (Dr. Alet), Redes de atención en CABA (Dr. González), Rehabilitación y costos de discapacidad (Dr. Cichero) y exposiciones de los videos de tratamiento en agudo: trombolisis sistémica (Dra. Luraschi) y de trombectomía mecánica (Dr. Masenga).

Para finalizar de 11:30 a 13hs se abrió el debate a cargo de Sandra Lepera.

Se estima que en nuestro país ocurren entre 130.000 y 190.000 ACV por año, es decir, uno cada 4 minutos. El 30 % de las personas fallecen el primer mes, lo que significa de 39.000 a 60.000 muertes anuales en Argentina por esta causa.

Los factores de riesgo son hipertensión arterial, tabaquismo, diabetes, alcohol y dislipemia (alteración de las concentraciones de lípidos y lipoproteínas en la sangre).

Los síntomas que se presentan en forma repentina ante un ACV son:

• Pérdida de sensibilidad y/o fuerza de un lado u otro de la cara, brazo o pierna.
• Dificultad para hablar o comprender el lenguaje.
• Pérdida transitoria de la visión.
• Dolor de cabeza intenso y súbito.
• Pérdida del equilibrio, vértigo.
• Imposibilidad de caminar y ejecutar maniobras de forma coordinada.
