Dentro de una semana, serán 800 los voluntarios que ingresen en las puertas de 115 lugares para jugar a la visita en la ciudad durante la sexta edición de Open House Buenos Aires, el festival de arquitectura que una vez al año da acceso a sitios habitualmente inaccesibles. Los fans conocen que la magia, efímera, pero espectacular sucede durante dos días, un sábado y un domingo. Quizá por eso en las primeras dos horas de inscripción, nueve mil personas reservaron sus lugares en la web www.openhousebsas.org para asegurarse que el 27 y el 28 podrán hacer paseos inusuales.
Los responsables del acontecimiento convertido ya en un pequeño ciclo tradicional porteño recuerdan que en 2013 los lugares eran menos de 60 y fueron recorridos, en dos jornadas, por diez mil personas, y sus expectativas, no llegaban a empardar su entusiasmo por compartir con iniciados y legos en arquitectura su pasión por los espacios privados de la ciudad. Todo fue “con mucho esfuerzo y pocos recursos”, dicen, y la definición alcanza a aquella primera edición pero también a esta, porque el alma mater de Open House sigue siendo la ONG CoHabitar Urbano, que formaron para pensar de otros modos la vida en la ciudad. Pasaron los años y ahora, con cinco ciclos cerrados sobre sus espaldas y en el umbral del sexto, la experiencia se les nota: mostrar casas, abrir edificios históricos, ayudar a descubrir mundos privados ajenos ya no les alcanza. Por eso, ahora van directamente a la caza de toda la ciudad: lo doméstico y lo histórico, pero también lo contemporáneo (privado o no), lo que hay bajo tierra (como los túneles de una línea de subterráneo), lo que hay a plena vista pero no siempre se mira (como qué significa en el mundo real un proceso de reurbanización en villas como la Rodrigo Bueno, la 20, la 31), los trabajos que cuajaron en obras de infraestructura y también aquellos espacios del Estado muchas veces vedados a los ojos ciudadanos.
