Estacionar en las calles de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires será cada vez más caro. Desde este mes, el Gobierno porteño aumentará un 100 por ciento el valor de las tarifas de los parquímetros y pasará a costar de 4 a 8 pesos.
Para evitar maniobras especulativas de los vendedores de cospeles, en algunas esquinas ya hay parquímetros que cobran el nuevo precio pero otorgan el doble de tiempo hasta que la medida se generalice.
La administración de Horacio Rodríguez Larreta intentará avanzar además en su proyecto para colocar parquímetros en unas 7.800 cuadras, con lo que llegará a cubrir el 40 por ciento de la ciudad con estacionamiento.
El incremento de la cantidad de autos por la explosión de las ventas de 0km en los últimos años y el alza en el valor de la tierra en la ciudad no hicieron más que acentuar la escasez de estacionamientos y espacios para estacionar.
Al momento, los parquímetros se encuentran en las comunas 1 (barrios de Retiro, San Nicolás, Puerto Madero, San Telmo, Monserrat y Constitución), 2 (Recoleta), 3 (Balvanera y San Cristóbal) y la 14 (Palermo).
Pero con la intención de ordenar el tránsito de una ciudad en la que andan 1.800.000 autos, 37.000 taxis y 10.000 colectivos a diario, un nuevo pliego ingresó a la Legislatura para aumentar el radio de estos sistemas a otros barrios de la Ciudad.
Ese plan, todavía en discusión, establece tarifas progresivas para visitantes y residentes de la zona, y una tarifa simple para visitantes y sin cargo para residentes.
