Al recorrer el local e inspeccionar el rodado, los efectivos descubrieron la maniobra delictiva que se hacía: con la excusa de arreglar el caño de escape, le extraían a los vehículos el catalizador mediante el uso de una amoladora y luego, para que no lo descubra el dueño, le soldaban un suplemento similar.
De inmediato, los oficiales llamaron al propietario de la Jeep, que informó que había dejado su rodado en el taller para que le coloquen una puntera cromada al caño de escape y en ese momento fue anoticiado sobre el ilícito del que había sido víctima.
Así las cosas, durante el procedimiento, se encontraron escondidos 73 catalizadores por un valor de 40 mil pesos cada uno, lo que dejó al descubierto la maniobra que se realizaba en el taller.
La Unidad de Flagrancia Norte, al tanto de los pormenores, dispuso detener al imputado por el delito de “encubrimiento agravado e infracción a la Ley 25.761″.
También ordenó el secuestro de la camioneta Jeep con su correspondiente catalizador como así también del Peugeot 504.
Cabe destacar que el lugar fue clausurado con consigna policial de la Comisaría Vecinal 15 B de la Policía de la Ciudad.
