En la que será la 8va edición ya están confirmados veinte autores que serian los que participarán de la Feria Internacional de Literatura. Los pormenores de una ceremonia imperdible y hondamente significativa para la cultura de la Ciudad y del Pais entero. FILBA es uno de los eventos más anhelados a nivel internacional y esta nueva edición se desarrollara entre el 23 de septiembre y el 2 de octubre de 2016. Contara con un total de 20 autores internacionales que ya confirmaron su asistencia a dicho evento que se desarrollara entre las Ciudades de Buenos Aires y Montevideo.
Algunas de lass distinguidas y destacadas figuras de la Literatura que participaran del evento son entre otras: el autor británico de la novela “Trainspotting”, conocido como Irvine Welsh. Escritores de gran influencia sumarán sus cocimientos y experiencias a un evento único que une dos de las Ciudades más importantes de América del Sur. Marta Sanz, literata originaria de España estará presente también, al igual que el crítico alemán Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht; el angolés José Eduardo Agualusa, y el estadounidense Peter Cameron. Además de los 50 escritores argentinos que también estarán presentes en el Filba, confirmaron su asistencia el chileno RafelGumucio, los franceses Paul Fournel y ValerieBeaudouin el mexicano Mario Bellatin; el poeta y dramaturgo portugués José Luís Peixoto; el brasileño Bernardo Carvalho; el colombiano Héctor Abad Faciolince, entre otros. El Festival Literario más importante de Latinoamérica se llevará a cabo en el Museo Malba de la Avenida Figueroa Alcorta 3415 y en el Centro Cultural La Abadía de Gorostiaga 1908.
La agenda ya esta dispuesta para el festival y constará de alrededor de 30 actividades con sus pertinentes guías donde los participantes podrán regocijarse alrededor de entrevistas, diálogos, ciclos de lecturas y diferentes performances. En esta Edicion se incorporaran actividades en el Centro Cultural Matienzo en el marco del festival Divergencia y en la Librería Eterna Cadencia de Honduras al 5500. Algunos de los auspiciantes más importantes del evento son Centro Cultural Recolta, la Editora Eterna Cadencia, Facultad de Comunicación y Letras, Fondo de Cultura Económica, y el Mecenazgo cultural entre otros. El objetivo principal de dicho evento es promover el ámbito literario y cultural en ambas ciudades latinoamericanas con el encuentro de los más reconocidos literatos internacionales.
Todas los talleres serán abiertos a todos los participantes y constaran de clases prácticas, clases magistrales, y conferencias con personalidades eminentes del mundo literario. Entre los invitados argentinos estarán presentes María Alché, María Teresa Arijón, Nicolás Artusi, Fabricio Ballarini, Sebastián Basualdo, Juan José Becerra y Paz Berti. El evento estará divido en diferentes etapas que constará de talleres, cuerpo presente, y actividades no tradicionales destinadas a aquellas personas que acudan por primera vez al festival.
