La emblemática Plaza Roma, ubicada sobre la avenida Alem en el bajo porteño recuperó todo su esplendor. Después de haber estado durante casi 10 años afectada por las obras de ampliación de la línea E del subte y del Metrobus, se retiró el obrador que ocupaba parte de su espacio, la Ciudad reparquizó el lugar y, en esta última etapa del proyecto, incorporó mobiliario urbano de diseño, luminarias, mesas de ping pong, nuevas veredas, árboles, vegetación, un sistema de riego automatizado y 1700 m2 de superficie absorbente.
“Junto a la Comuna 1 hemos recuperado un espacio en el que ha transcurrido la vida de más de cuatro generaciones de porteños, es un hito para celebrar y disfrutar con los vecinos”, afirmó Facundo Carrillo, secretario de Atención y Gestión Ciudadana, responsable del área que coordinó las obras. “Hoy la plaza luce radiante y conserva su identidad como patrimonio vivo de la Ciudad”, agregó.
En esta segunda etapa del proyecto, se reconstruyeron las veredas y los senderos con solado intertrabado para que la plaza pueda ser accesible para todos los vecinos. Se reparquizaron 1700 m2 para incrementar la superficie verde absorbente y se plantaron césped, vegetación nativa y árboles. También se instaló un sistema de riego automatizado para su conservación.
Además, se reemplazaron los deteriorados bancos de estilo romano por mobiliario urbano sustentable, con diseño orgánico para brindar mayor comodidad y se sumaron mesas, se instalaron luminarias en diferentes sectores, por ejemplo en los senderos y en los nuevos bancos, y se incorporaron tres mesas de ping pong para aumentar el disfrute saludable del espacio público.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children.
