El personal de la División Anillo Digital emitió una alerta después de detectar un vehículo Volkswagen Fox negro en la avenida General Paz, que tenía pedido de secuestro por estar vinculado a un robo con el uso de inhibidores.
Los agentes iniciaron una persecución para interceptar el vehículo, que culminó con la detención de los delincuentes en el cruce de la avenida Juan Manuel de Rosas y la calle Alicia Moreau de Justo, en Lomas del Mirador, provincia de Buenos Aires.
Durante la intervención, se identificó a los dos ocupantes del auto y se encontró el inhibidor que habían descartado durante la persecución. Además, se llevó a cabo un registro del vehículo en presencia de testigos, donde se descubrieron 195.570 pesos, 209 dólares, dos teléfonos celulares, dos bases de carga para inhibidores y una batería negra.
El procedimiento fue trasladado a la Comisaría Cuarta Norte de Lomas del Mirador, y la investigación quedó bajo la supervisión de la UFI N°1 del Departamento Judicial de La Matanza, a cargo de la Dra. Piatelli.
