La robótica está presente en nuestra vida, tal vez no con la forma de un robot tradicional, pero sí, por ejemplo, con brazos robóticos que utilizan los/as médicos/as o la industria automotriz. Ahora, ¿te imaginás a esta ciencia dando respuestas a problemáticas mundiales?
De eso se tratará la Copa Robótica 2019: equipos integrados por estudiantes de distintas provincias competirán entre sí con robots que buscarán solucionar el desafío de la sustentabilidad en los océanos.
Este certamen se realizará el 29, 30 y 31 de agosto en el Estadio Mary Terán de Weiss (Parque Roca) y los/as ganadores/as viajarán al Mundial de Robótica First Global en Dubai.
La Copa Robótica 2019 es la etapa de clasificación local organizada por el Ministerio de Educación e Innovación y Educabot para elegir al equipo que participe en el mundial de First Global Challenge. Busca impulsar la implementación de nuevas tecnologías y las habilidades que se requieren para desarrollarse en el futuro, como el trabajo en equipo, la creatividad y la resolución de problemas.
A su vez, este año el Mundial se realizará del 24 al 27 de octubre en Dubai, con la participación de más de 200 países. Esta olimpíada de robótica se realiza cada año en un país diferente y con un temática específica basada en los 14 grandes desafíos de ingeniería identificados por la Academia Nacional de Ingeniería de Estados Unidos.
“Conectar a los/as estudiantes con la tecnología, como es en este caso la robótica, permite que amplíen sus oportunidades a la hora de decidir quiénes quieren ser. En este sentido, iniciativas como Copa Robótica se transforman en espacios ideales para que los/as chicos/as aprendan y experimenten cómo la tecnología puede cambiar y mejorar la calidad de vida tanto a nivel local como a nivel mundial. Para nosotros/as es importante fomentar este tipo de encuentros porque es una manera de colaborar con el desarrollo del talento tecnológico y de demostrar que hay un Gobierno dispuesto a acompañarlos en todo el trayecto educativo y profesional”, afirma Santiago Andrés, subsecretario de Ciudad Inteligente y Tecnología Educativa del Ministerio de Educación e Innovación de la Ciudad.
En esta instancia, la Ciudad estará representada por la Escuela Técnica N.° 26 “Confederación Suiza”. La dinámica de la competencia local es una réplica de la instancia internacional. Los/as chicos/as resolverán un desafío lúdico asociado a la temática de la sustentabilidad de los océanos y deberán resolverlo utilizando un kit de robótica y aplicando habilidades de programación.
La competencia tendrá lugar el 30 y 31 de este mes. El último día habrá un cierre musical y se conocerá qué equipo viajará a Dubai. Además, se entregarán menciones especiales.
