Uno de los ladrones fue apresado y otro resultó abatido tras comenzar un tiroteo contra los efectivos. La Policía de la Ciudad impidió en las últimas horas el robo de dos asaltantes a un local de tecnología celular en el barrio porteño de Liniers, en un hecho en el que uno de los ladrones fue abatido y otro resultó detenido. Todo ocurrió cuando los dos agresores ingresaron al local comercial, ubicado en la avenida Rivadavia al 11.500, y fueron interceptados por una efectiva de la Comisaría Vecinal 9B que realizaba un despliegue territorial en la zona y que fue alertada por un vecino. El personal policial dio la voz de alto y los delincuentes iniciaron un tiroteo que derivó con uno de ellos abatido y otro que intentó darse a la fuga, pero que finalmente fue detenido momentos después. El ladrón muerto fue asistido en el lugar por personal del SAME y luego trasladado al hospital Santojanni, donde finalmente murió. En la causa interviene el Juzgado Criminal y Correccional Nº 41, que dispuso el traslado del detenido a la sede de la Alcaldía Comunal 9 y el secuestro del arma utilizada.
