A partir de los datos proporcionados por la Secretaría de Transporte y la validadora SUBE de Nación Servicios, el vecino de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires ya puede acceder al tiempo de llegada de los próximos servicios de 44 líneas de colectivos que circulan por la Ciudad con todos sus ramales, es decir, más de 2700 unidades. Además, ya son cuatro las aplicaciones que cuentan con los datos de estas líneas colectivos: Cómo llego, la app oficial de GCBA; Google; Moovit y la recientemente lanzada, Cuándo Subo.
Por otro lado, Metrobus 9 de Julio, Del Bajo, Juan B. Justo, Norte (I y II) y los Centros de Trasbordo Flores y Pacífico, cuentan con carteles led que brindan información acerca de la línea de colectivo que se acerca, el ramal y en cuánto tiempo llegará a la parada. En los últimos días comenzaron a colocarse 125 puntos informativos en veredas con alta cantidad de ascensos de pasajeros, es decir, las que tienen mayor volumen y se encuentran cercanas a otros medios de movilidad.
De esta manera, los 6 de cada 10 porteños que eligen este medio de movilidad cuentan con información en tiempo real del momento exacto de la llegada de los próximos tres colectivos, mejorando su experiencia de viaje y volviendo su viaje previsible: pueden acercarse a la parada en el momento justo y así evitar esperas potencialmente inseguras, especialmente en horarios nocturnos.
Plan de apertura de datos
La mayoría de los datos de transporte proporcionados por cada modo de transporte son semánticamente similares, pero históricamente, los datos para cada modo se han compartido en diferentes formatos y estructuras. Esto dificultó el desarrollo de aplicaciones multimodo, ya que es necesario escribir código para cada modo de transporte.
Con el fin de proveer datos abiertos de todos los medios de transporte de la Ciudad a los vecinos se creó la API Unificada de Transporte, para poder acceder fácilmente a estos datos en un formato estandarizado y en tiempo real. Esto permite que aplicaciones privadas como Google o Moovit puedan tomar esos datos y ofrecer más alternativas para el vecino.
La API unificada presenta todos los datos que son semánticamente similares para cada modo de transporte en el mismo formato y estructuras consistentes. Esto nos permite escribir una vez y acceder a todos los mismos tipos de datos en todos los modos de transporte rápidamente, facilitando el desarrollo de aplicaciones multimodo.
