Multitud de dirigentes de organizaciones políticas, sindicales y de Derechos Humanos llenaron la Sala II del Anexo de la Cámara de Diputados de la Nación para denunciar y repudiar persecución y despidos en la Provincia de Tierra del Fuego.
La Sala 2 de la Camara de Diputados decidió cerrar sus puertas y dejar concurrentes afuera de la Conferencia de Prensa llevada a cabo por la campaña contra las exoneraciones en Tierra del Fuego.
Los Delegados y Secretarios Generales más representativosen su mayoría políticos ,sociales y sindicales de todos los ámbitos concordaron en protestar el fallo del Sr Juez Guillermo Penza por el cuál se le quitaria la tutela sindical a Horacio Catena y Carlos Díaz, dirigentes del SUTEF y CTA. El proximo paso es la destitución del Secretario General de la CTA de Tierra del Fuego y del SUTEF y de los dieciséis docentes que están en el mismo proceso.
También acordaron que si este caso termina con la exoneración, esto sentaria un precedente que le daravia libre los Gobiernos a seguir persiguiendo y exonerando a todos los dirigentes que lideran las luchas sociales. Además manifestaron su voluntad de acompañar la campaña nacional contra las exoneraciones y la persecución.
