La Policía de la Ciudad detuvo a cuatro delincuentes como integrantes de una banda que había cometido estafas bancarias con tarjetas de crédito en una suma aproximada a los 258 millones de pesos, con más de ocho mil personas damnificadas.
Personal de la División Fraudes Bancarios, perteneciente al Departamento Delitos Económicos de la Policía de la Ciudad, llevó adelante junto con el Juzgado Nacional en lo Criminal y Correccional Número 55, a cargo de la doctora Alejandra Alliaud y ante la Secretaría 55 de la doctora Lim, la UFECI y la Fiscalía Nacional en lo Criminal y Correccional 60, una investigación sobre estafas a clientes por medio de sus tarjetas de crédito, los cuales desconocían débitos automáticos en sus cuentas hacia empresas.
Para realizar estas estafas, los delincuentes contaban con una infraestructura jurídica y bancaria para sostener las maniobras.
Con la colaboración de las entidades bancarias y el trabajo de campo de alrededor de dos meses, se obtuvo la información necesaria para analizar los movimientos de las cuentas y se dio con el paradero de los cuatro imputados debido a la insistencia de los mismos a retirar dinero de la sucursal de origen, en el Conurbano bonaerense.
Los oficiales detuvieron a los delincuentes cuando los identificaron y además les incautaron seis teléfonos celulares, 3.670 dólares, 6.800 pesos y los dos rodados que utilizaban, llegando a comprobar estafas por 258 millones de pesos.
En la continuidad de la investigación, el magistrado actuante dispuso allanamientos en Provincia de Buenos Aires y Ciudad en los domicilios de los delincuentes y fueron secuestrados seis teléfonos celulares, dispositivos electrónicos y documentación probatoria de actividades ilícitas.
Los delincuentes fueron trasladados a las Alcaidías 6 y 13, donde quedaron a disposición de la Justicia, y continúa la investigación para dar con más lazos de la banda.
