La obra en cuestión es de 260 metros cuadrados y 4,5 millones de pesos, cuya construcción ya fue licitada por el gobierno porteño con el aval de la ‘Ley de Bares’ aprobada el año pasado, y que “puede dar inicio en cualquier momento” -indican los asambleístas-, lo cual “seria resistido” por los vecinos protestantes, ya que el parque “ya perdió 12 hectáreas de espacios verdes”.
“En el día de la fecha estuvimos acompañados por organizaciones de distintos barrios, quienes comentaron sus problemáticas y manifestaron su apoyo a nuestro pedido de que no se construya un nuevo bar”, contó a Télam Paula Castelli, vocera de la Asamblea de Parque Chacabuco.
Las organizaciones que participaron fueron las siguiente : Asamblea de Parque Sarmiento, Recoleta contra el aliviador, Red Interparques Parque de la Estación, Vecinos por la Ecología, Paremos las torres Dosplaza, PropAMBA, Amigos Lago de Palermo, Asamblea de Parque Lezama,Queremos Buenos Aires, Movimiento comunero y Montecastro contra las torres.
Además contamos con la presencia de la Asociación ciudadana por los derechos humanos, S.O.S Caballito, Vecinos por Villa Roccatagliata, Vecinos por Monroe Park, Encuentro en defensa del espacio público, Vecinos por la Torre Mirabilia, Corredor verde del oeste, Autoconvocados por Cortes Edesur, Basta de Demoler, Un Árbol para mi Vereda y Manzana 66.
La manifestación dio inicio en Emilio Mitre y Asamblea, camino por esta última avenida hasta Del Barco Centenera, para luego regresar sobre sus pasos y continuar hasta Curapaligüe; alcanzando así en total unas quince cuadras.
“seguiremos resistiendo a la construcción y cuidaremos los espacios verdes, una batalla en la que no nos encontramos solos ya que hay mucha gente que se integra desde de otras comunas”, agregó.
Asimismo, además de las marchas que realizan todos los fines de semana, la entidad hará hincapié en las vías legislativas con el fin de que se exceptúe de los permisos que otorga la Ley 4.950 (Ley de Bares) al Parque Chacabuco. A través de ley del diputado Adrián Camps perteneciente al partido socialista,
Dicha Ley permite la construcción de bares en espacios verdes siempre y cuando posean una superficie mayor a 50.000 metros cuadrados, y además establece la creación de hasta cinco áreas para los más grandes, con un espacio mínimo de 200 metros entre ellos.
Son sesenta parques en total los que podrían tener negocios gastronómicos y el Parque Chacabuco, con sus 237.000 metros cuadrados, podría alojar al menos cuatro áreas de servicio.
El parque conserva en los días actuales sólo 8 de las 20 hectáreas de espacios verdes con las que fue inaugurado en 1908: lo demás está en posesión de la autopista que lo secciona en dos, un polideportivo, cinco escuelas, un centro cultural, un bar de 400 metros cuadrados, una “estación saludable”, un estacionamiento privado, un anfiteatro, la entrada al subterráneo, calles internas y accesos vehiculares.
Los vecinos se muestran en contra de la obra por entender que privatiza espacio público, y que esto perjudica a los comercios lindantes, fue resuelta de manera inconsulta y “viola artículos de la Constitución de la ciudad” de Buenos Aires.
