El jefe de Gobierno porteño, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, participó este jueves en la Catedral del Tedeum, la oración cívico-religiosa presidida por el arzobispo de Buenos Aires y cardenal primado de la Argentina, Mario Aurelio Poli. Estuvo acompañado por el ministro de Gobierno, Jorge Macri, por el ministro de Salud, Fernán Quirós, y por otros funcionarios del Gabinete porteño.
“En un año tan especial para los argentinos, el 25 de mayo es una fecha que nos convoca y nos invita a reflexionar sobre nuestra identidad nacional y a reafirmar el compromiso con el legado y los ideales que sentó el Primer Gobierno Patrio en 1810 para nuestra nación: los valores de la autonomía, la libertad, y el amor por nuestra patria”, afirmó Rodríguez Larreta.
En sus palabras, el cardenal Poli hizo un llamado “urgente a la unidad, que todos sean uno. La unidad no excluye a nadie. Los hermanos sean unidos esa es la ley primera. El 25 de mayo no es un feriado más, es el elemento constitutivo de nuestra identidad. Hay que recordar agradecidos de dónde venimos, para saber hacia dónde vamos a ir como Nación”.
Durante la ceremonia, el cardenal Poli presentó el canto del Tedeum y representantes de distintos cultos elevaron juntos una oración por la paz.
La celebración finalizó con la entonación del himno nacional argentino, y el saludo de los representantes de los distintos credos con todos los presentes.
Previamente, Rodríguez Larreta encabezó un acto en la Escuela N° 7 de 1° Presidente Roca con estudiantes y sus familiares y la banda musical del Regimiento de Infantería 1 Patricios en conmemoración del Día de la Patria.
