Durante el invierno, el Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires implementa el Operativo Invernal con más de 600 personas trabajando cada noche para garantizar que nadie duerma en la calle frente a las bajas temperaturas. Este operativo, activo desde el 1º de junio hasta el 31 de agosto (con posibilidad de extenderse según las condiciones climáticas), tiene como objetivo proporcionar una respuesta proactiva, inmediata e integral a las personas en situación de calle.
Para facilitar la asistencia, los vecinos pueden solicitar ayuda a través de la Línea 108 y BOTI, canalizando las demandas de atención. Durante el invierno se refuerzan los operativos con más de 40 móviles de la Red de Atención que recorren la Ciudad, ofreciendo asistencia integral que incluye el acceso a Centros de Inclusión Social, alimentos calientes, elementos de higiene y ropa de abrigo. Además, participan diariamente 60 voluntarios de diversas organizaciones.
Para casos de emergencia médica, se coordinan intervenciones con el SAME y el Ministerio de Salud. Cada abordaje es personalizado, considerando el perfil y estado de salud de cada individuo, con protocolos específicos para garantizar la mejor atención posible.
Recientemente, se inauguró una nueva Subsede de la Red de Atención en Chacarita, ampliando la cobertura en las comunas 6, 12, 13, 14 y 15, operando en tres turnos desde las 6 de la mañana hasta la medianoche.
En cifras, el operativo incluye:
- Más de 4,000 plazas disponibles en los 47 Centros de Inclusión Social (CIS) de la Ciudad.
- Más de 40 móviles desplegados.
- 600 trabajadores que incluyen operadores, trabajadores sociales, psicólogos y voluntarios.
- Recorridas durante las 24 horas del día, intensificadas entre las 19 y las 3 de la madrugada, con equipos profesionales de la Red de Atención.
Estas medidas son parte del compromiso del gobierno porteño para proteger a las personas en situación de calle durante los meses de invierno, asegurando que reciban la atención necesaria para enfrentar las condiciones climáticas adversas.
