Alberto Laiseca, el escritor que puso su vida en función de la literatura

Alberto Laiseca fue un reconocido cuentista y novelista que vivió una vida íntegramente dedicada a la labor literaria. Prueba de eso es la cercana relación que tejió con la gran cantidad de talleristas que asistieron a sus clases, como son los casos de Selva Almada y Alejandra Zina, dos de las narradoras más leídas de la actualidad. La literatura argentina vive encandilada por las luces de sus astros grandes astros, siendo Jorge Luis Borges y Julio Cortázar los casos más resonantes. Pero debajo de ese esplendor, existe una cantidad importante de escritores que pasaron por el mundo de las letras sin el reconocimiento que hubieran merecido o que, sin dudas, hubieran tenido si nacían en una tierra anglosajona. Ese es el caso de Alberto Laiseca, quien falleció durante la tarde del viernes 22 de diciembre del 2016.

El viejo “Lai” era conocido, además de su talento, por ser una especie de kiosko 25hs literario, dedicándole todo su tiempo posible a la labor literaria ya sea escribiendo, leyendo o dando sus ya míticos talleres literarios que dieron lugar a nuevas generaciones de escritores que ahora marcan la cancha en la escena literaria. Con obras de tamaño de una enciclopedia, como Los sorias, Laiseca iba por el mundo literario y el mundo ordinario (aunque para él no había una división tan marcada entre ambos) desafiando las convenciones, buscando provocar al lector y al muchas veces conservador mundo literario.

Ahora bien, hacer un análisis de la obra y vida de Laiseca podría llevarnos días y días, por lo que es mejor concentrarse en un aspecto, al menos por hoy. Hace poco realicé dos entrevistas con dos autoras que están siendo leídas en gran cantidad en estos últimos tiempos y que fueron sus alumnas: Selva Almada y Alejandra Zina. Lo primero que recuerdo, ahora, es que al preguntarle por las clases de Laiseca, ambas sonrieron como cuando viene a la memoria un momento lleno de felicidad.

Al respecto, Almada señalaba: “Teníamos una relación de muchos años con Laiseca y que siguió hasta el día de hoy. De hecho, fui a sus clases hasta que las dejó de dar, no es que las haya abandonado. Fueron muchísimos años, por lo que se generó una relación muy cercana y muy entrañable“.  Además, la autora de Chicas muertas (Random House, 2014) destacaba: “Les debo mucho a él y a los diferentes compañeros que tuve, porque de ellos pude tomar muchos consejos valiosos. Esa compañía me hace falta a veces y con algunos compañeros tratamos de juntarnos a leernos cosas y emular el taller”.

En esa misma dirección va a ir Zina, expresando que Creo que “una de las cosas más importantes que te da Laiseca es permitirte largarte a escribir y darle cabida a todo, aunque sea muy distinto a lo que él escribía o leía. También me abrió a otros autores y géneros que no tenía previamente y se relacionaban a él. Me permitió también armar un grupo de colegas y amigos que siguen escribiendo, publicando, era algo que Laiseca generaba”.

    found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.”
    She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
    There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
    LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
