La Policía de la Ciudad desbarató un criadero ilegal que funcionaba en Parque Chas, detuvo a una falsa médica veterinaria y rescató a 22 pugs y bulldogs franceses hacinados y en condiciones deplorables de higiene y salubridad.
La División Delitos Ambientales de la Policía de la Ciudad, conjuntamente con personal del Cuerpo de Investigaciones Judiciales (CIJ) del Ministerio Público Fiscal, llevó a cabo una serie de tareas investigativas, a partir de las cuales se pudo determinar la existencia de un criadero clandestino de perros, de las razas Pug y Bulldog Francés, que luego eran comercializados por Internet.
La investigación, llevada a cabo con la intervención de la Unidad Fiscal Especializada en Materia Ambiental (UFEMA), a cargo del Dr. Carlos Rolero Santurian, secretaría única a cargo del Dr. Ricardo Bomparola, reveló que el criadero funcionaba en una vivienda ubicada en la calle Andonaegui al 1600, y a la luz de las pruebas obtenidas, el Juzgado Penal Contravencional y de Faltas 28, a cargo de la Dra. Julia Correa, libró la orden de allanamiento.
El operativo fue llevado a cabo por el personal a cargo de la investigación, y funcionarios de la Agencia Gubernamental de Control (AGC), quienes al llegar identificaron a tres personas encargadas del lugar, y comprobaron que la casa se encontraba en condiciones de higiene deplorables, en donde un total de 22 perros, en su mayoría cachorros que no superaban los tres meses de edad, vivían hacinados en jaulas y en algunos casos con graves problemas de salud como cáncer, colecta uterina y neoplasia en piel, según diagnosticaron los médicos veterinarios de la Agencia de Protección Ambiental (APRA) que participaron en el procedimiento.
En cuanto a los responsables, fueron imputadas por actos de maltrato y crueldad animal las tres personas que se encontraban en el lugar, y se secuestraron medicamentos veterinarios, vacunas, jeringas hipodérmicas, libretas sanitarias y certificados de vacunas firmados por una de las imputadas, sin título habilitante y con un sello apócrifo de veterinario, por lo que esta última fue detenida y trasladada a una alcaidía de la Policía de la Ciudad.
Los perros fueron entregados a una ONG para su tratamiento, recuperación y posterior puesta en adopción responsable, y la APRA dispuso la clausura del criadero por tratarse de una actividad ilegal en la Ciudad.
