El delincuente, que fue detenido en la estación Pueyrredón de la línea B, se hacía pasar por gendarme utilizando una chapa de esa fuerza con la numeración limada.
Oficiales de la división Subtes de la Policía de la Ciudad se encontraban en la estación Pueyrredón de la Línea B, cuando observaron que ingresaba al hall central un hombre, quien, al advertir la presencia policial, volvió sobre sus pasos rápidamente hacia la salida.
Esta actitud llamó la atención de los efectivos, por lo cual procedieron a interceptar e identificar al sospechoso, y al solicitarle el permiso habilitante para circular durante la cuarentena, respondió que no tenía y que pertenecía a la Gendarmería Nacional Argentina. Entonces, los policías le pidieron que exhibiera una credencial que lo acreditara como personal de esa fuerza, pero admitió que tampoco la llevaba en ese momento.
Ante esta situación fue solicitada la presencia de testigos, delante de los cuales se abrió la mochila que llevaba el hombre, en la que había tres celulares, dos de los cuales al ser chequeados en la página de ENACOM estaban denunciados por robo.
En la requisa los oficiales también hallaron entre la ropa un porta credencial con un escudo metálico de Gendarmería con la numeración suprimida.
El juzgado Criminal y Correccional Federal Nº 5 a cargo de la Dra. María Capuchetti dispuso la detención del hombre, imputado por encubrimiento y usurpación de títulos y honores, infracción a la ley de comunicaciones y violación del aislamiento social obligatorio.
