El hecho tuvo lugar en el barrio de Palermo. Los damnificados, tuvieron la sospecha de que la empleada les estaba substrayendo dinero. Por ello instalaron una cámara oculta para comprobar el hecho.
Personal de la Comisaría Vecinal 14 B de la Policía de la Ciudad que se encontraba realizando tareas de despliegue territorial en la esquina de Gorriti y Ravignani, recibió la denuncia de una mujer, quien explicó que el día anterior había notado un faltante de 450 dólares de su billetera y sospechaba que su empleada doméstica se lo había sustraído, ya que era la única persona que había estado en la casa.
A raíz de esta situación, la joven junto a su esposo decidieron poner dentro de una caja un teléfono celular y filmar lo que sucedía en el living del departamento, a la vez dejaron una importante suma de dinero para ver si la mujer lo tomaba.
De esta manera cuando la propietaria, a través de su celular, notó que la empleada estaba revisando y robando sus pertenencias, le mostró inmediatamente a los oficiales lo que estaba sucediendo en su casa en vivo y en directo.
Ante esta situación, los agentes de la Policía de la Ciudad junto a la víctima y dos testigos ingresaron al departamento en cuestión ubicado en Gorriti al 5800, logrando detener a la sospechosa, quien tenía en su poder una caja de madera con 5.200 dólares en efectivo.
La imputada fue llevada a la dependencia de la Policía de la Ciudad correspondiente y la causa recayó en la Fiscalía Criminal y Correccional N° 62 a cargo del Dr. Yapur.
