El programa Turismo en Barrios ofrece a los vecinos y turistas la oportunidad de redescubrir Buenos Aires a través de 37 circuitos autoguiados que destacan la oferta cultural, recreativa y gastronómica de los diferentes barrios de la Ciudad. Estos recorridos van más allá de los clásicos destinos turísticos como Recoleta, San Telmo y Palermo, invitando a explorar la riqueza y diversidad de cada barrio porteño.
Los circuitos están diseñados para ser realizados caminando o en bicicleta, aprovechando al máximo el espacio público y garantizando la movilidad segura de los usuarios. Se clasifican en “caminables” o “pedaleando”, y cada uno cuenta con un mapa interactivo en línea que proporciona información detallada sobre la ruta y los lugares de interés.
El programa, lanzado en septiembre de 2020 para impulsar el turismo en los barrios y reactivar la economía después de la pandemia de COVID-19, comprende un total de 37 rutas al aire libre, con 27 para caminar y 10 para recorrer en bicicleta utilizando la red de Ecobici de la Ciudad.
Estas rutas abarcan 27 de los 48 barrios porteños, incluyendo aquellos de renovado interés turístico como Flores, Boedo, Villa Urquiza y Chacarita. También se ofrecen recorridos temáticos, como el Papal, el Verde y los circuitos por el Casco Histórico de la Ciudad.
Cada ruta de Turismo en Barrios está centrada en polos gastronómicos y culturales, con el objetivo de fomentar el desarrollo de las economías locales. Buenos Aires, una ciudad multicultural y cosmopolita, ofrece una amplia variedad de opciones culturales, turísticas y gastronómicas, con miles de bares y restaurantes, teatros, librerías, museos y siendo la capital del tango.
