El 22 de febrero del año 2012 murieron 51 personas, que luego terminaron siendo 52, y cientos de personas resultaron heridas en la denominada Tragedia de Once. Ese día por la mañana, una formación del tren urbano Sarmiento no logró frenar al ingresar al andén de la estación ubicada al lado de la Plaza Miserere en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Por la lucha de familiares y víctimas de la tragedia, hubo un juicio con 21 sentenciados pero en la actualidad solo hay un detenido.
La tragedia de Once ocurrida aquel 22 de febrero de 2012 a las 8:32 de la mañana dejó 52 pasajeros muertos y más de 700 heridos tras el choque de la formación del Ferrocarril General Sarmiento contra el andén 2 de la Estación de Once. Hoy, se cumplen seis años de aquella mañana en la que la muerte sacudía, una vez más, la zona de la Plaza Miserere. En el año 2004, el incendio de Cromañon ocurrido muy cerca de allí había sembrado la muerte de 194 jóvenes. Ambos hechos fueron productos de la corrupción.
En el día de hoy, como todos los años en el anden de la estación de Once, los familiares de víctimas y sobrevivientes de aquella mañana realizaron un nuevo acto conmemorativo frente al lugar en el que murieron las 52 personas. Allí participaron referentes de organizaciones de Derechos Humanos, trabajadores ferroviarios y familiares de las víctimas de Cromañon. Con un fuerte documento de denuncia, siguen exigiendo justicia y reafirmaron que su objetivo es tener “tras las rejas a los culpables”.
Los familiares de los fallecidos en la Tragedia de Once exigieron la ratificación de las 21 condenas contra los empresarios y ex funcionarios nacionales que fueron condenados por ese hecho. A seis años del hecho, las penas no se encuentran firmes y aguardan la resolución de la Cámara Federal de Casación Penal.
Siguiendo lo expuesto por La Izquierda Diario,la semana pasada el Tribunal Oral Federal N° 4 de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires retomó el segundo juicio por la tragedia de Once, en el que está siendo juzgado el ex ministro de Planificación Federal Julio De Vido, los ex secretarios de Transporte: Ricardo Jaime y Pablo Schiavi. Funcionarios que fueron parte de los gobiernos de Néstor y Cristina Kirchner.
El primer proceso judicial que juzgó lo ocurrido finalizó hace dos años. Allí, fueron condenadas 21 personas. Entre los sentenciados se encuentran los ex funcionarios de los gobiernos kirchneristas y los empresarios del Grupo Cirigliano, a cargo de la concesión del Sarmiento: Juan Pablo Schiavi (ocho años de prisión) y Ricardo Jaime (seis años de prisión), el anterior dueño de Trenes de Buenos Aires (TBA) Sergio Claudio Cirigliano (nueve años de prisión) y al antiguo gerente del Consorcio Metropolitano de Transporte (Cometrans) Marcelo Alberto Calderón (nueve años de prisión).
A pesar de estas sentencias, sólo uno de los 21 sentenciados está detenido. Se trata de Ricardo Jaime, el funcionario que formó parte de la cartera de Transporte, quién se encuentra arrestado, en verdad, por otra causa. Desde el año 2017, la Sala III de la Cámara Federal de Casación Penal tiene en sus manos la sentencia del Tribunal Oral Federal N°2 dictada el 29 de diciembre de 2015. Esa sala es la que debe revisar el fallo de primera instancia. Se prevé que se realice en el mes de marzo de este año.
Estas demoras en el proceso judicial forman parte de las principales denuncias de los familiares de la Tragedia de Once que esperan que la Cámara de Casación ratifique las condenas. Parece absurdo que tras tantos años desde aquella fatídica mañana, 20 personas de las 21 condenadas se encuentren libres. Sin embargo, los sobrevivientes y familiares de los fallecidos seguirán reclaman justicia por las muertes que hoy cumplen seis años de impunidad.
