El tradicional bar-restaurante porteño La Lechería, ubicado en el microcentro porteño, cerró por sorpresa sus puertas esta semana, dejando en la calle a sus 22 trabajadores, quienes decidieron tomar en forma pacífica las instalaciones para poder defender sus fuentes laborales.
“El viernes trabajamos normal, pero como sospechábamos algo unos compañeros se dieron una vuelta el sábado y vieron cómo uno de los dueños, con dos ayudantes, estaban cargando los hornos y comida en un camión de mudanzas, con la clara intención de desaparecer”, afirmó a la agencia Télam Jorge Carrasco uno de los empleados despedidos.
Al respecto, el trabajador señaló que “desde hace un tiempo notábamos cosas raras porque no se reponía mercadería y eso nos fue llamando mucho la atención. El local ahora está tomado con compañeros, adentro y en la puerta, resistiendo”.
La Lechería, que se encuentra ubicada en San Martín 70, a media cuadra de Plaza de Mayo y frente a la Catedral Metropolitana, fue por décadas la mesa del desayuno y la barra para el almuerzo de miles de oficinistas y gente de paso.
La concesión está a nombre de Spitze S.A, una empresa constituida por tres socios, sobre una propiedad que pertenece a la Iglesia Católica Argentina, mientras que sus 22 trabajadores despedidos estaban afiliados al gremio de los pasteleros.
Por último, Carrasco apuntó que los dueños de la empresa “fueron citados al Ministerio de Trabajo y esperamos a ver qué nos ofrecen, porque ni nos pagaron el sueldo de octubre. Ahora esperamos al menos que nos paguen las indemnizaciones sino no se pueden mantener los puestos de trabajo”.
