Efectivos de la Comisaría Vecinal 1 D de la Policía de la Ciudad que se encontraban recorriendo la zona, observaron a un sujeto a bordo de una moto que al notar la presencia policial quiso evadir el control de seguridad.

Esta actitud llamó la atención de los oficiales que de inmediato comenzaron una persecución que terminó en la intersección de las calles Tucumán y Esmeralda, con la aprehensión del sospechoso.

Luego de identificarlo, fue requisado en presencia de testigos encontrando dentro de un morral un revólver calibre 22 con cinco vainas servidas y dos municiones completas, como así también varios precintos plásticos.

La Fiscalía Penal, Contravencional y de Faltas Número 17, a cargo del doctor López y ante la Secretaría de la doctora Carlomagno, ordenó la detención del hombre y el traslado del imputado a la comisaría correspondiente, donde quedó alojado a la espera de las actuaciones judiciales.

Se labraron actas por tenencia de arma y lesiones, ya que uno de los policías resultó herido levemente durante el arresto.
