La Policía de la Ciudad rescató a una perra que vivía atada a una reja, en condiciones insalubres y malnutrida. Su propietario fue detenido e imputado por maltrato animal.
A partir de un video viralizado desde la web de un canal televisivo en el cual se denunciaba que un vecino del barrio porteño de Villa Devoto maltrataba a su perra, personal de la división Exposiciones de la Policía de la Ciudad, realizó tareas investigativas con intervención de la Unidad Fiscal Especializada en Materia Ambiental (U.F.E.M.A.) a cargo del Dr. Blas Matías Michienzi.
En el video podía observarse que la mascota se encontraba en evidente situación de riesgo, atada a una reja, en un ámbito carente de las mínimas medidas de protección e higiene, y en avanzado estado de delgadez. A su vez, los vecinos manifestaron que el animal lloraba y aullaba permanentemente, debido al hambre y la sed que su propietario le hacía pasar.
Apenas iniciadas las tareas de investigación se confirmó la situación, por lo que rápidamente se realizaron las diligencias necesarias para asegurar el lugar con consigna policial y se solicitó la respectiva orden de allanamiento.
Al mismo tiempo fue requerida la presencia de personal de las divisiones Canes y Video Operativo de la Policía de la Ciudad, y la colaboración de veterinarios de la Agencia de Protección Ambiental (A.P.R.A.) del Gobierno de la Ciudad quienes se encontraban a la espera de la orden de allanamiento, hasta que el hombre denunciado salió de su domicilio indicando que entregaría a la perra, permitiendo el ingreso de los especialistas para que la examinaran.
Tras realizarle las primeras observaciones en el lugar, la fiscalía dispuso que el animal fuera remitido a un refugio adecuado para su recuperación, y que se proceda a la detención del imputado quien deberá comparecer en sede judicial.
