En la Ciudad de Buenos Aires funciona la primera Casa Trans del país, ubicada en la avenida Jujuy 1341. El lugar ofrece diariamente servicios de atención y asesoramiento entre pares, asesoramiento integral de acceso al trabajo trans, armado de CVs y acompañamiento en el proceso de búsqueda e inserción laboral, asesoramiento jurídico y administrativo, espacios culturales y fundamentalmente contención humana.
Una de las acciones más importantes que se realizan en la Casa Trans es el asesoramiento integral de la comunidad, se reparten preservativos gratuitos, testeos de HIV, entre otras asistencias que promueven la prevención, el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de enfermedades de transmisión sexual.
Las historias de vida se apilan en este luminoso espacio de la avenida Jujuy, en San Cristóbal. En Casa Trans, de la mañana a la noche, se respira “contención”. Y queda claro cuando las propias protagonistas relatan en primera persona cómo dieron con “la casa”. Morena Pinat, de 29 años, habla segura y no esconde ni un centímetro la dura lucha que llevó adelante desde su niñez en el Chaco, en Qutilipi, un pueblo al que le costó entenderme. Yo en ese entonces era un chico que no se sentía en un cuerpo adecuado en función de mi personalidad y de mi ser. Decidí cambiar y se me hizo muy difícil. De pronto sentí que mi vida no valía nada y que mi pueblo me expulsaba. Llegué a Buenos Aires y sentí que volví a nacer. Ni hablar cuando pisé por primera vez la Casa Trans… Fue un cambio que disfruté en el alma.”
Morena cuenta orgullosa que cursa el primer año en la Universidad de Arte y una de sus máximas aspiraciones es “transmitirles a otras chicas trans que hay una manera de vivir bien y con dignidad, más allá de la condición sexual que una tenga.”
