Como respuesta a un alerta, personal del Grupo Especial de Rescate (GER) de Bomberos de la Ciudad se desplazó a una casa en refacción ubicada en el pasaje Del Buen Orden al 1000 del barrio de Parque Chacabuco.
Al llegar al lugar, los bomberos se encontraron con el hombre caído sobre un enrejado que cubría un patio interno del primer piso. Se había precipitado desde una altura aproximada de 6 metros mientras pintaba un techo de chapa en el tercer piso.
Inmediatamente, el equipo del GER accedió al lugar mediante un sistema de cuerdas e inmovilizó al hombre con un collar cervical. Luego, utilizando una tabla rígida, lo subieron a la terraza para poder descenderlo posteriormente por las escaleras.
Una vez rescatado con éxito el operario fue atendido por personal del Same y trasladado al Hospital Durand con un diagnóstico del politraumatismo.
