La Ciudad de Buenos Aires es una de las más bellas del mundo, caminando por sus calles podemos encontrar infinidad de negocios, las avenidas más largas y más anchas del mundo, también los cien barrios porteños, muy diversos pero afines.
Pero hoy mi Ciudad enfrenta unos de los problemas más grandes de su historia, la tan temida Pandemia, que de un día para otro la apagó, esa Ciudad que brillaba, famosa por sus noches, sus bares llenos de gente, las colas para entrar a un bodegón, los amigos que se encuentran para compartir una cerveza, por primera vez en su historia tendrán que esperar, es como si el tiempo se hubiese detenido aquel 20 de marzo.
Las familias segregadas por un enemigo invisible, los bolsillos flacos por no poder laburar, los colegios vacíos, el miedo que se apodera de los vecinos y la palabra más temida, Coronavirus, ese virus que se corona como el dueño del mundo y se lleva una terrible cantidad de vidas, atrás quedaron los cumpleaños, los viajes, los abrazos que hoy duelen en el alma.
Mi Ciudad hoy está triste, vacía, descubrimos palabras nuevas, cuarentena, tapabocas, distancia social, si alguien en enero me hubiese dicho que esto iba a pasar juro que no lo hubiese creído al igual que muchos de ustedes.
Por eso vecinos hay que hacer un gran esfuerzo, cuidar a los abuelos, a los niños, a los enfermos, este virus no perdona, pero siguiendo las pautas estamos a salvo. El Gobierno pasó de querer levantar un País quebrado a acondicionar hospitales para que nadie se quede sin camas de terapia intensiva, para que en mi Ciudad no se tenga que elegir quien vive y quien muere como pasó en otras Ciudades del mundo.
No concuerdo con este Gobierno en el 90% de las cosas que propone o dispone, pero esta vez le agradezco al Jefe de Gobierno su trabajo conjunto con el Gobierno Nacional, aunque tengan muchos errores esta vez nos cuidaron, dejaron de lado sus roces políticos y se unieron, lo que allá por diciembre era una utopía.
Quedarse en casa era lo que más queríamos cuando teníamos que ir a trabajar todos los días y la rutina nos “devoraba”, hoy queremos salir corriendo de casa y compartir un mate con nuestros compañeros, una charla, que lejos quedó todo eso.
Hoy cuidamos a nuestros hijos, les enseñamos a no compartir nada, a distanciarse, a usar tapaboca, el alcohol en gel se volvió un elemento preciado, todo esto es lo inverso que les venimos inculcando prácticamente desde que nacieron, hasta en un punto es antinatural, no poder compartir con sus amigos, no poder abrazarse ni tocarse, la pregunta sería hasta cuándo.
Me sorprendí al ver a las mamás y papás de mi ciudad diciéndoles a los más pequeños que no podían salir hasta que maten al bichito, como entiende un niño de 3 o 4 años que ya no puede jugar en la plaza?, que no puede saludar a sus amiguitos?, que no puede ver a sus abuelos o tíos?, ni hablar de sus primos que cuando no se tiene hermanos son como si lo fuesen.
Tampoco puedo imaginar a esas mamás que dan a luz en la pandemia, sin poder creer que sus bebes no conozcan a los abuelos, a los tíos y primos, la angustia que provoca es inconmensurable.
Ni hablar de la muerte, esa que nos toca tan de cerca con este virus, no poder despedirse del ser querido por “protocolo” y ahí vuelve a surgir la pregunta, hasta cuándo?
Los datos no son alentadores, en mi ciudad estamos en cuarentena estricta, tuvimos que retornar a fase 1 nuevamente, se habla de una apertura que realmente solo creo que va a desbordar todo, pero el vecino que tiene un negocio ya se comió sus ahorros y necesita volver a generar dinero para comer y subsistir.
Otra vez estamos ante el dilema de la vida y la economía, otra vez no alcanza.
Mi ciudad va a volver a brillar algún día, porque de esta situación tenemos que aprender, a largo plazo hay mil vacunas en estudio, pero lo más importante es la solidaridad entre vecinos, ayudarnos entre todos para salir de esta, es complicada la Pandemia, pero tenemos una Buenos Aires preparada, hagamos que nuestra responsabilidad sea bandera en este momento, no tiremos por la borda el esfuerzo de todos, porque todo lo que hace el Gobierno de la Ciudad es el esfuerzo nuestro, son nuestros impuestos vecinos.
Mantengamos la distancia, usemos el tapaboca, llenémonos las manos de alcohol en gel, quedémonos en casa, seamos responsable por nosotros y por nuestros vecinos.
