Personal de la División Capturas y Búsqueda de Prófugos de la Policía de la Ciudad, que se encontraba realizando tareas de prevención fueron alertados por un hombre que una mujer con la que había acordado la venta de un teléfono había intentado estafarlo con dinero falso.
El hombre, de 30 años, explicó que había combinado con una mujer para encontrarse y vender su teléfono celular. Al llegar al lugar de encuentro, en la avenida Cabildo al 3000, la compradora intentó estafarlo con dólares apócrifos.
Los efectivos demoraron a la mujer de 23 años y, con la presencia de dos testigos, la requisaron encontrando en su poder la suma de 1.400 dólares aparentemente apócrifos.
Inmediatamente se consultó con el Juzgado Nacional en lo Criminal y Correccional Federal N° 12 Secretaría N°23, a cargo de la Dra. Paula Kohen, que dispuso la detención de la mujer y el secuestro del dinero para su pericia. Además se ordenó el traslado de la imputada a la alcaidía 1 Bis de la Policía de la Ciudad.
