La Policía de la Ciudad detuvo en las últimas horas en el barrio de Balvanera a tres hombres extranjeros por comercializar teléfonos celulares denunciados como robados en tres locales, de los cuales dos de ellos terminaron clausurados por diversas irregularidades.
Personal de la División Conductas Informáticas Ilícitas, perteneciente al Departamento Prevención del Cibercrimen de la Policía de la Ciudad, inspeccionó locales en una galería de la avenida Pueyrredón al 200, junto al Cuerpo de Investigaciones Judiciales (CIJ), la Agencia Gubernamental de Control (AGC), la Dirección General de Migraciones y la Dirección General de Coordinación Operativa, dependiente de la Subsecretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana.
En el lugar se encontraron dos locales abiertos y un tercero que se ocupaba de captar clientes. Se identificó a los tres responsables, dos peruanos y un colombiano, y se hallaron 12 celulares denunciados como robados al Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM).
Además, los efectivos encontraron 40 celulares, 1 tablet, 106 baterías, 64 pantallas, 17 carcasas y 57 módulos, todo sin su documentación respaldatoria. Los inspectores de la AGC clausuraron dos de los tres locales por hallar diferentes irregularidades.
Al consultar con la Unidad Fiscal Delitos Contravenciones y Faltas Especiales, a cargo del doctor Ponce, se avaló lo actuado y se dispuso la detención de los responsables de los locales por infracción a la Ley 25.891 (Comunicaciones), además del secuestro de todos los elementos encontrados.
Desde septiembre de 2020 a mayo de 2021, se incautaron 6.172 teléfonos celulares en distintas inspecciones realizadas en los barrios de la Ciudad. De ellos, unos 662 equipos estaban denunciados como robados al ENACOM y comenzaron a ser devueltos a sus dueños.
Además, 141 personas quedaron a disposición de la Justicia por comercializar equipos ilícitos, se clausuraron 108 locales y se tapiaron 6 de ellos.
En cuanto a los accesorios, utilizados para adulterar a los teléfonos, en ese mismo tiempo se secuestraron más de 2.000 chips y 5.145 baterías.
