Personal de la División Sumarios y Brigadas de Prevención de la Comisaría Comunal 2 recorría la zona cuando observó sobre la calle Marcelo T de Alvear al 2200 a un hombre que pretendía llevarse una batería de una Renault Trafic, tras violentar el capot.
Cuando el ladrón visibilizó a los policías, intentó darse a la fuga a pie, aunque fue reducido a los pocos metros.
Tras ser requisado en presencia de testigos, los oficiales encontraron la batería robada y las herramientas utilizadas.
Al consultar con la Fiscalía Criminal y Correccional Número 52, a cargo de la doctora Monteleone y ante la Secretaría de la doctora Sánchez Negrete, se dispuso el traslado del imputado a la dependencia policial y el secuestro de la camioneta, la batería y las herramientas.
