Desde 2017 y durante la primera semana de noviembre, la Ciudad de Buenos Aires se viste con los colores del arcoíris para celebrar la Semana del Orgullo con un calendario repleto de actividades. Esta nueva edición comenzó el sábado 29 de octubre con el Festival del Orgullo en Palermo y culminó con la espectacular Marcha del Orgullo, el sábado 5 de noviembre.

“Nuestra Ciudad es referente a nivel mundial en la celebración del orgullo LGBTIQ+, y una vez reconfirmó por qué es un emblema porteño. Cada nueva edición es una oportunidad para mostrar nuestro profundo compromiso en la construcción de una ciudad inclusiva en la que todas las personas tengan igualdad de derechos”, dijo Pamela Malewicz, Subsecretaria de Derechos Humanos y Pluralismo Cultural.

“Esta Semana resume todo el trabajo que se hace durante el año. Salir a la calle con tantos artistas, colectivos culturales y organizaciones con las que trabajamos a diario, es realmente muy emocionante. Este evento es único en la región, da cuenta del lugar que ocupa la diversidad en nuestra cultura”, explicó Natasha Steinberg, Directora General de Convivencia en la Diversidad

La programación de la Semana del Orgullo, al igual que en sus ediciones anteriores, invitó a los y las vecinas a participar de una oferta de más de 20 actividades en diversos puntos de la Ciudad, entre ellas festivales, muestras de arte, actos teatrales, ferias y muchos más.

Por quinto año consecutivo, la Ciudad de Buenos Aires dió inicio a esta agenda con el Festival del Orgullo, que el sábado recibió a más de 40 mil personas que se encontraron en el barrio de Palermo, entre las calles Gurruchada y Costa Rica, para celebrar las diversas formas de ser, sentir y amar. Quienes asistieron pudieron recorrer una feria de 30 stands de emprendimientos de la comunidad LGBTIQ+ y además conseguir información en 20 stands institucionales de organizaciones de la sociedad civil como Trans Argentinxs, Cooperativa de Arte Trans y Ciclo Positivo y asociaciones deportivas como Ciervos Pampas, Dogos, Deporte, Inclusión y Diversidad, acercaron su trabajo en materia de asesoramiento, acompañamiento y acceso a derechos del colectivo. Además pudieron divertirse y festejar junto a shows de Reydel, Ay Britney, Soy Vedette y Daniela Ela entre otros.

Entre las demás actividades que formaron parte de esta semana, podemos destacar “Orgullo en el Casco Histórico” que de la mano de Grupo Caviar, 7 Colores Diversidad y House of Tropikalia, divirtió a vecinos y visitantes del barrio de San Telmo en el clásico Café Pride.
