“Hoy cumplimos un compromiso de campaña, que era darle operatividad al SAME nocturno. Nos faltaba poder volar de noche. Para eso balizamos el helipuerto y equipamos a los helicópteros”, sostuvo el Jefe de Gobierno, Jorge Macri. La Ciudad integra el SAME aéreo nocturno al Sistema de Emergencias, brindando asistencia también durante la noche con helicópteros y un equipo altamente especializado en rescate, triage y tratamiento, llegando a cualquier emergencia en menos de cuatro minutos.
Jorge Macri destacó estos avances en el helipuerto del Hospital Santojanni, acompañado por el director del SAME, Alberto Crescenti. Los dos helicópteros están equipados con un faro de búsqueda y alcanzan una velocidad de 200 kilómetros por hora en línea recta. El Jefe de Gobierno agregó: “Esto va en línea con la idea de seguir consolidando el Sistema de Emergencias de la Ciudad. Ahora integramos motos, camionetas, ambulancias y helicópteros con médicos en la calle. Los cuatro son medios de intervención rápida y tienen la capacidad de llegar, atender y estabilizar a cada paciente”.
En este sentido, subrayó: “Es importante destacar que lo más crítico e importante es llegar rápido y atender a cada paciente, y los cuatro medios cuentan con médicos especializados”. Además, señaló: “Este sistema de emergencias fue el que se implementó en el choque del Tren San Martín en Palermo, el 10 de mayo pasado. El rápido accionar del SAME fue fundamental para trasladar a todos los heridos en 32 minutos”.
La Ciudad dispone de dos helipuertos para el SAME: uno en el Hospital Tornú, en Parque Chas, y otro en el Hospital Santojanni, en Liniers. El SAME aéreo nocturno operará únicamente en el del Santojanni, donde se realizaron trabajos de pintura, balizado y manga en el helipuerto.
Además de los helipuntos marcados en el asfalto, los helicópteros pueden descender en cualquier lugar de la Ciudad donde haya espacio disponible.
