El servicio de atención veterinaria del Gobierno porteño continúa funcionando de manera ininterrumpida durante todo el verano, ofreciendo castración y vacunación antirrábica gratuitas para perros y gatos en el marco de los operativos que lleva adelante la Dirección General de Sanidad y Cuidado Responsable de Caninos y Felinos Domésticos.
El objetivo de estas acciones es garantizar el bienestar animal y fomentar una convivencia responsable y armónica entre los animales domésticos y la comunidad, promoviendo la tenencia responsable en toda la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
¿Dónde se realizan los operativos?
Las actividades se desarrollan según un cronograma semanal en dos modalidades:
- Centros fijos de atención veterinaria:
- Parque Indoamericano (Villa Soldati): Av. Escalada y Paseo Islas Malvinas
- Costanera Sur: Av. Dr. T. Achával Rodríguez 1550, frente a la fuente de Lola Mora
- Unidades móviles veterinarias:
Ocho móviles recorren rotativamente las 15 comunas de la Ciudad, brindando atención cerca de los hogares de los vecinos.
¿Cómo acceder a los servicios?
- Vacunación antirrábica:
No requiere turno previo. Solo tenés que acercarte en los días, lugares y horarios publicados en el calendario semanal disponible en las redes sociales de Animales BA: Perros y gatos o en el sitio web oficial. - Castración:
Es necesario solicitar turno online. Para hacerlo, debés ingresar con tu cuenta de miBA, elegir la opción correspondiente al animal y completar el formulario. Una vez finalizado el proceso, recibirás un correo electrónico con la confirmación del turno y todas las indicaciones necesarias para el día de la cirugía.
Requisitos para castrar a tu mascota
- El animal debe estar clínicamente sano y tener más de 6 meses de edad.
- El día del turno, se le realizará un examen preoperatorio por parte del equipo veterinario. Si está apto, se procederá con la cirugía.
- En caso de que tu mascota esté medicada o padezca alguna enfermedad, informalo al profesional durante la revisión. También podés llevar estudios previos si los tenés.
Indicaciones para el día de la cirugía
- El animal debe estar en ayuno:
- 12 horas sin alimento
- 8 horas sin líquidos
- Deberá presentarse con:
- Collar, pretal, correa y chapita identificatoria (en perros)
- Bozal si es necesario
- Transportadora (en gatos)
- Quien lo acompañe debe:
- Ser mayor de 18 años
- Permanecer en el lugar hasta el alta postquirúrgica
- Llevar una manta para abrigar al animal tras la intervención
