Personal de la Comisaría Vecinal 4 B de la Policía de la Ciudad, luego de recibir denuncias de vecinos, se acercó a una propiedad ubicada en la avenida Cobo al 800, donde inmediatamente se comprobó que había un taller textil ilegal.
Los oficiales observaron a una mujer, de nacionalidad china, que tiraba bolsas de plástico con restos de tela en el interior de un contenedor y, como la persiana estaba abierta, se pudo detectar que en el interior de la propiedad había máquinas y rollos de telas.
Ante esta situación, se solicitó la presencia de inspectores de la Agencia Gubernamental de Control (AGC) y personal de la Dirección General de Coordinación Operativa del Ministerio de Justicia y Seguridad, que al ingresar comprobaron que el taller no estaba habilitado.
Dentro del inmueble, los oficiales hallaron a cinco personas de nacionalidad boliviana (tres hombres y dos mujeres), que indicaron que trabajaban de lunes a sábados de 7 a 21, y viviendo en la misma habitación.
En la planta baja se observó que confeccionaban diferentes tipos de prendas, contabilizándose un total de 10 máquinas de coser, una lavadora industrial, una planchadora y una caldera.
La Fiscalía Penal, Contravencional y de Faltas Número 29, a cargo del Dr. Aníbal Brunet, dispuso la clausura del taller y por el testimonio de las personas en el interior, se dio intervención a la División Delitos de Trata del Departamento de Delitos contra las Personas de la Policía de la Ciudad y psicólogos de Rescate de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, que evaluaron que si bien la situación de trabajo era precaria, no se constataron indicios que den lugar al delito de trata dura de explotación laboral, pese a que había empleados que pernoctaban en el lugar con la amenaza latente de una caldera instalada en forma precaria.
Asimismo, se realizó consulta con el Juzgado en lo Criminal y Correccional Federal 8, a cargo del Dr. Marcelo Martínez de Giorgi, secretaría 15 de la Dra. Josefina Hornos.
Respecto de la encargada, de nacionalidad china de 65 años, fue notificada sin tomar temperamento respecto de su libertad.
