La Policía de la Ciudad detuvo a un clonador de tarjetas en un cajero del centro porteño, con más de medio millón de pesos en su poder y sospechado de haber cometido varios fraudes con esa modalidad.
El detenido, un ciudadano brasileño de 51 años, tenía, además, 124 tarjetas magnéticas blancas sin inscripción, para cometer sus defraudaciones y fue condenado por la Justicia a prisión preventiva, luego de un trabajo llevado adelante por la División Fraudes Bancarios, perteneciente al Departamento Delitos Económicos de la Policía de la Ciudad, junto con el Cuerpo de Investigaciones Judiciales (CIJ).
El hecho se registró en horas de la madrugada, cuando personal de la Comisaría Vecinal 1 B de la Policía de la Ciudad fue desplazado hasta los cajeros automáticos de un banco ubicado en la avenida Callao al 100, en inmediaciones del Congreso de la Nación.
Desde la gerencia de Seguridad Informática y Prevención de Fraudes de la empresa de la red de cajeros que opera con ese banco se informó a los policías que había un hombre con ropas oscuras y gorra negra que estaba haciendo una transacción con una tarjeta clonada, acción detectada por la Central de Alarmas de la entidad.
Al aproximarse a los cajeros, el personal policial vio al hombre realizando una operación en un cajero, en tanto, el sospechoso, al percatarse de la presencia de los efectivos, canceló la operatoria e intentó retirarse.
Mientras los policías lo interceptaron, una tarjeta blanca sin identificación salió del cajero. Se trataba de una tarjeta similar a las que le incautaron al imputado, al ser requisado antes testigos.
Al hombre se le secuestró un morral negro, 124 tarjetas blancas con su banda magnética y sin inscripción, 500 mil pesos en efectivo y una billetera con otros 6.890 pesos, nueve tickets del banco y un celular Samsung.
De acuerdo al denunciante, el detenido podría estar relacionado con fraudes anteriores bajo la misma modalidad, que estaban siendo investigados por la empresa.
La Fiscalía Penal, Contravencional y de Faltas a cargo de la Dra. Andrea Verónica Scanga, secretaría de la Dra. María Sol Barchi, dispuso la detención del imputado que se labren actuaciones por Fraude en infracción al Artículo 173 inciso 15 del Código Penal de la Nación.
En tanto, se le encomendó a la División Fraudes Bancarios que realice una investigación sobre las bandas magnéticas de las tarjetas incautadas para ubicar a los posibles damnificados.
Los oficiales analizaron la información obtenida y confirmaron que las tarjetas fueron utilizadas en el cajero mencionado sin el consentimiento de los titulares.
Además, individualizaron el domicilio del detenido y la investigación continúa para comprobar la existencia de posibles cómplices en las estafas.
En consecuencia, el Juzgado Penal, Contravencional y de Faltas Número 6, a cargo del doctor Gonzalo Tía, dio lugar a la prisión preventiva para el imputado solicitada por la fiscalía actuante.
