En el día de la fecha, la Policía de la Ciudad nos brinda a los vecinos una sucesión de lecciones y representaciones para que no seamos víctimas de chantajes virtuales. Las  recomendaciones para la comunidad de la Ciudad fueron llevadas a cabo por el principal Pablo Lurato, del Departamento Defraudaciones y Estafas de la Policía de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.

“Los estafadores, al momento de realizar las comunicaciones con las potenciales víctimas, lo hacen siempre desde números privados o con características desconocidas. Van a hacerse pasar por algún familiar cercano, o bien por un empleado de entidad pública o bancaria”, disertó el Principal, y asentó también que ante cualquier vacilación o desconfianza, el vecino debe notificar o ir a la Comisaría Vecinal más cercana a su domicilio.

Lurato acentuó la importancia por parte de la comunidad de quien recibe la citación de “preguntar quién habla y nunca dar nombres ni datos personales” que pueden ser esgrimidos por los malhechores para cometer la defraudación.

Serie de Consejos para tener en cuenta:

  • Cuando se atiende el llamado es significativo estar en calma y preguntar el nombre de la persona que llama y de qué lugar nos llama.
  • Los embaucadores se pueden hacer pasar por un hijo o un nieto y deformar la voz para embrollar a la víctima. Jamás dar nombres de los familiares.
  • Procurarán tener el control  de la llamada todo el tiempo y conseguir información, y así contar para que nos están llamando, que alcanza ser un apócrifo secuestro, un choque, un robo, o un trámite bancario. Son falsos testimonios para que el vecino les de  todos las reservas que tienen en su domicilio.
  • Lo más transcendental es no dar nombres particulares ni datos de tarjetas de débito y crédito, si tienen ahorros en su domicilio, cuentas bancarias o cajas de seguridad.
  • Si reciben estas  llamadas cortar la notificación, y llamar al 911 o a un familiar que esta cerca, o también llegar a la Comisaría Vecinal más cercana a su casa.
