El hecho ocurrió pasadas las 22 horas y se inició en una sala de señalización y se traslado a los andenes de la estación Plaza Miserere que debió ser evacuada.
Poco después de las 22 horas el humo comenzó a ganar terreno en los andenes de la estación Plaza Miserere de la Línea A del subte, según relató Leonardo Salgado, subcomandante de Bomberos a c5n “el incendio que comenzó en una sala de señalización que afectó la zona de andenes de la línea A”.
Por tal motivo el personal del subte se interrumpió el servicio y las personas que se encontraban en el lugar debieron ser evacuadas por personal de Bomberos, aunque al menos una persona falleció por el incendio que hasta el momento se desconoce la identidad de la víctima.
El en lugar trabajaron tres dotaciones de bomberos en conjunto con personal de la Policía de la Ciudad. Hubo restricción vehicular sobre la Av. Rivadavia desde la calle Formosa y sobre la Avenida Pueyrredón entre Hipólito Irigoyen y Bartolomé Mitre.
“Como consecuencia de éste inconveniente, se generó la presencia de humo en el túnel y la estación de Subte, motivo por el cuál se procedió a interrumpir el servicio de la Línea A por prevención hasta tanto se finalice el operativo realizado en la zona ferroviaria e inmediaciones al Subte”, informó la empresa Metrovías a través de un comunicado.
Hoy por la mañana el Servicio de la Línea A del subte comenzó a funcionar con su recorrido habitual.
