Viajar en colectivo o subte es, junto con usar las veredas, uno de los principales problemas de movilidad en la ciudad para las personas con discapacidad, de acuerdo con el último informe sobre esta población de la Dirección General de Estadística y Censos porteña.
Según los datos recolectados, cuatro de cada 10 mayores de seis años con discapacidad dicen que encuentran obstáculos para usar los colectivos, el subte, los trenes y las veredas, en ese orden.
“Esto pone de manifiesto que las principales barreras que perciben las personas con discapacidad están en relación al transporte público y a la circulación en el espacio urbano; hecho fundamental ya que la accesibilidad urbana es una de las condiciones fundamentales del desarrollo de una vida más autónoma”, se precisa en el informe.
Mientras que un 49% tiene problemas para viajar en colectivo, el 43,6% manifiesta que también enfrenta obstáculos a diario para usar el subte y lo mismo ocurre con los trenes en el 38,7% de los casos.
En la lista, siguen las veredas: el 38,2% tiene dificultades para utilizarlas, junto con un 23,1% que no puede usar las rampas y los vados. En la vía pública, los semáforos, la señalética y la información son un problema para tres de cada 10 chicos, jóvenes y adultos con alguna discapacidad.
“También encuentran obstáculos en el acceso o en el uso de los cines y los teatros (25,9%), las oficinas públicas (25,6%), los hospitales y los centros de atención médica (25,4%), los bancos y los cajeros automáticos (24,1%), y en los parques y las plazas (23,2%)”, se puede leer en el informe que forma parte de la serie Encuesta Anual de Hogares 2018.
