A partir de reuniones y talleres realizados con los vecinos en distintos barrios de la Ciudad y luego de analizar sus pedidos, la Secretaría de Transporte realizará una prueba piloto para determinar la posibilidad de habilitar estacionamiento paralelo a algunas ciclovías en calles de CABA que cumplan determinadas características: que sean mano única, que no posean circulación de colectivos, y que cuenten con un ancho mayor a 10,40 metros. La calle General César Díaz será la primera traza en contar con estacionamiento paralelo a la ciclovía.
La ciclovía de prueba se construirá en General César Díaz entre Chivilcoy y Artigas (1,87 km), traza que se extiende sobre los barrios Floresta, Villa Santa Rita y Villa General Mitre; mientras que el tramo donde se podrá estacionar en forma paralela a la ciclovía será en General César Díaz entre Chivilcoy y av. Nazca (1,31 km), ya que entre av. Nazca y Artigas circulan colectivos.
Con el objetivo de preservar la seguridad vial de peatones, ciclistas y conductores, cuando el conductor estacione el auto va a contar con un espacio de un metro de distancia de la ciclovía (fuelle) para poder descender en forma segura. Luego deberá caminar por este espacio hasta la esquina más próxima.
Características de las calles a implementar
* Deberán contar con un ancho de más de 10,40 mts.
* Serán trazas en donde no circulan colectivos.
* En general, se implementará en calles que tengan un único sentido de circulación.
No todas las calles que posean estas características son aptas, siempre están sujetas a previo análisis del equipo técnico.
Nueva ciclovía
La permisión de estacionamiento paralelo no será aplicable a los ejes ya existentes, si no a las trazas de ciclovías a construirse y, exclusivamente, en aquellas luego de las evaluaciones técnicas pertinentes siempre se encuentren en calzadas que posean un ancho mínimo de 10.40 m, no posean circulación de líneas de colectivos y que, en general, tengan un único sentido de circulación.

- Espacio para ingreso a cocheras
- Señal de permitido estacionar
Nueva señalización
En los lugares donde quede permitido estacionar en forma paralela a la ciclovía se dispondrá un nuevo cartel que indicará; por un lado, la prohibición de estacionamiento sobre ciclovía, y por otro, la permisión de estacionamiento en paralelo.
Objetivos
- Optimizar el espacio disponible de estacionamiento en la vía pública.
- Administrar de manera eficiente el uso del espacio público.
- Adoptar medidas que favorezcan el ordenamiento del tránsito y ya funcionan en otras partes del mundo.
- Promover alternativas que prioricen la seguridad vial de todos los actores del tránsito.
- Trabajar en conjunto con los vecinos de cada barrio de la Ciudad.
