El hecho ocurrió en las últimas horas, cuando efectivos de Brigada de la División Operaciones Zona Norte, dependiente de la Dirección de Lucha Contra el Narcotráfico y Venta Ilegal de Drogas de la Policía de la Ciudad, observaron que una pareja caminaba por la avenida Pinedo al 1000, en Barracas, denotando cierto nerviosismo y mirando para todos lados de manera sospechosa.
Ante esa situación, los efectivos policiales se identificaron y ordenaron a la pareja que se detuvieran para indentificarlos.
Con la presencia de dos testigos, los oficiales los requisaron, encontrando ocultos entre sus ropas un cuchillo, 46 trozos de marihuana que totalizaban un peso de 290 gramos, 21 envoltorios de pasta base que arrojaron un peso de 12 gramos y una balanza de precisión, que la pareja utilizaba para pesar las sustancias.
Realizadas las comunicaciones con la Fiscalía en lo Penal, Contravencional y de Faltas Número 29, a cargo del doctor Aníbal Brunnet, se dispuso la detención de la pareja, él de 32 años y ella de 43, ambos argentinos, por infracción a la Ley de Drogas (23.737), el secuestro de los estupefacientes y el posterior traslado a dependencias de la Policía de la Ciudad.
