La Policía de la Ciudad rescató unas 65 aves que se encontraban hacinadas en una propiedad del barrio de Villa Luro, donde funcionaba un criadero ilegal.
Personal de la División Delitos Ambientales encabezó el procedimiento en el domicilio de la calle Ercilla al 5200 y también participaron el Cuerpo de Investigaciones Judiciales (CIJ), la Agencia de Protección Ambiental (APRA) y la Dirección General de Control Ambiental (DGCONTA).
El operativo fue solicitado por la Unidad Especializada en Material Ambiental (UFEMA), a cargo del doctor Carlos Rolero Santurián, y ordenado por el juez Pablo Casas del Juzgado Número 14, luego de recibirse una denuncia realizada por un vecino que indicó que desde el exterior del inmueble se podían observar numerosas jaulas con pájaros.
Al ingresar a la vivienda, los efectivos verificaron que funcionaba un criadero ilegal y hallaron 65 canarios hacinados y 32 jaulas, por lo que se labraron actas por falta de habilitación para actividad económica y tenencia irregular de animales (Artículos 4.1.1 y 1.2.9. del Régimen de Faltas – Ley 451).
Asimismo, se esperan los informes veterinarios de cada ejemplar rescatado por la posible infracción a los Artículos 140 y 142 del Código Contravencional (omisión de recaudos y mantenimiento en condiciones inadecuadas de animales domésticos).
El magistrado a cargo del caso dispuso, además la clausura de la propiedad, que los animales sean rescatados y trasladados a la ONG “Pájaros Caídos” para su posterior cuidado y rehabilitación.
