La Ciudad llevará a cabo la primera edición de Encuentro de Triple Impacto (E3i) para conectar a organizaciones de la sociedad civil con PyMEs, promoviendo la integración hacia una economía más inclusiva y sostenible. El evento se desarrollará en el Ecoparque, Av. Las Heras y Sarmiento, el 27 de septiembre de 13 a 17 h. 

Se trata, además, de un evento Carbono Neutral que busca minimizar los impactos ambientales generados por su operación, reducir al máximo la huella de carbono y mitigar el daño ambiental causado mediante la compensación de esta huella. De esta manera, antes, durante y post del encuentro se realizará la medición de la huella de carbono. Luego esta huella medida se compensará mediante la plantación de árboles que generarán las toneladas de carbono equivalentes.

La compensación de la huella de carbono consiste en neutralizar la cantidad de emisiones de CO2 que se emiten mediante la absorción de CO2 por medio de la restauración ecológica, a través de plantaciones de especies nativas que actúan como captadores de carbono.

La iniciativa es organizada por el Ministerio de Desarrollo Económico y Producción, a través de la Dirección General Micro, Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas, y la Secretaría de Ambiente, entre otras áreas gubernamentales de la Ciudad. Tiene por objetivo ser un espacio para que distintos actores intercambien experiencias y buenas prácticas en el marco del enverdecimiento de la economía.

“Cambiar el paradigma de nuestros sectores productivos es indispensable para mitigar los efectos del cambio climático”, afirmó José Luis Giusti, ministro de Desarrollo Económico y Producción. “Es por eso que, desde la Ciudad, generamos espacios de diálogo como el Encuentro de Triple Impacto, para avanzar con todos los actores involucrados en una transición hacia la economía verde”, agregó.

Por su parte, Inés Gorbea, secretaria de Ambiente, sostuvo que “es necesario que todos seamos conscientes de la huella de carbono que generamos para poder reducirla. Hay muchas acciones cotidianas que ayudan a disminuir la generación de gases efecto invernadero. Es una cuestión de cambio cultural, por eso es importante que las organizaciones trabajen en esta línea”.  Y concluyó: “todos formamos parte de la sociedad, desde el Estado podemos impulsar muchas políticas públicas, pero es fundamental la participación ciudadana y un nuevo rol de las instituciones, más involucradas con el cuidado del ambiente”.

E3i contará con stands para que más de 50 PyMEs exhiban sus productos y servicios sustentables en alimentación saludable; fabricación y diseño; papelería ecológica; packaging compostable, y eficiencia energética. También se realizarán mesas de trabajo entre empresas compradoras y PyMEs proveedoras con el fin de generar contactos comerciales e institucionales, contribuyendo a mejorar aspectos de su cadena de valor.  Por último, se desarrollarán talleres y capacitaciones de sensibilización sobre economía circular, hábitos responsables y emprendedurismo de triple impacto.

“La agenda 2030 nos exige trabajar comprometidos con los aspectos económicos, sociales y ambientales para poder dejar a las generaciones futuras una sociedad mejor. Por eso es tan importante no solo medir la huella de carbono sino también compensarla, para dar el ejemplo y lograr que toda la sociedad trabaje en este sentido” explicó Ariel Álvarez Palma, subsecretario de Infraestructura Verde y Desarrollo Sostenible.

“Si logramos que las empresas cumplan un rol ambiental y social estaremos en presencia de un gran cambio. El éxito de una empresa no es solamente por su ganancia económica, sino también por su impacto social y ambiental”, detalló Hernán Najenson, director general de Micro, Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas. 


E3i se realizará en el marco del Día de la Conciencia Ambiental y del Día Internacional de la Acción por los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. Son 17 objetivos y 169 metas que abordan el cambio climático, la desigualdad económica, el consumo sostenible, la paz y la justicia y forman parte de una iniciativa impulsada por Naciones Unidas, a las que suscribieron los países miembros, entre los que se encuentra Argentina.
