En conmemoración del Día Internacional del Voluntariado, celebrado el 26 de diciembre, la Secretaría de Gobierno y Vínculo Ciudadano organizó un evento para agradecer a los más de 4500 voluntarios que trabajaron de manera desinteresada durante todo el año para el beneficio de los vecinos de Buenos Aires. Este programa, Voluntarios BA, fomenta la participación ciudadana en diversas actividades y acciones que tienen un impacto positivo en la comunidad.

Acciones destacadas del año 2024

Durante el año, los voluntarios participaron en una serie de actividades, entre las que se incluyen acciones ambientales, sociales y de salud. Algunos de los logros más significativos fueron:

  • Cuidado del ambiente: Más de 300 especies nativas fueron plantadas en espacios públicos de la ciudad. También colaboraron en la restauración del invernadero del Vivero comunitario de Plaza Irlanda y en el mantenimiento del Jardín Botánico.
  • Recuperación del Riachuelo: Los voluntarios ayudaron en la limpieza y en la recolección diferenciada de residuos en el borde costero del Riachuelo, promoviendo la conservación de este importante ecosistema.
  • Jornadas de adopción de mascotas: Durante todo el año, se organizaron eventos mensuales para promover la adopción de perros y gatos, donde los voluntarios trabajaron en la clasificación y distribución de donaciones, ayudando a más de 100 animales a encontrar un hogar.
  • Capacitación en primeros auxilios: Más de 500 voluntarios recibieron formación en RCP, primeros auxilios y manejo de emergencias, equipándolos con los conocimientos necesarios para brindar asistencia en situaciones de emergencia.

Actividades Culturales y Sociales

Los voluntarios también participaron en la organización de eventos como La Noche de los Museos y la puesta en valor de clubes de barrio en el sur de la Ciudad. Además, muchos tuvieron la oportunidad de compartir experiencias únicas, como visitas al Palacio Legislativo y al Ecoparque.

Voluntariado Navideño

En el cierre del año, el equipo de Voluntarios BA se encuentra trabajando en la colecta navideña 2024, que consiste en la recepción, clasificación y empaquetado de juguetes para distribuirlos entre los Centros de Desarrollo Infantil (CEDIS) y las Juegotecas del Ministerio de Desarrollo Humano y Hábitat en barrios populares.
